InfluxData Closes Series E Round and Raises $81 Million in Capital, Strengthens Position as Leading Time Series ProviderInfluxData, creator of the leading time series platform InfluxDB, today announced it has raised $81 million in capital funding, closing a $51 million Series E funding round led by new investors Princeville Capital and Citi Ventures, with participation from existing investors Battery Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Sapphire Ventures, and others, and a $30 million debt facility with Silicon Valley Bank. The Series E financing brings InfluxData’s total equity funding raised to $171 million.

Moonfare Sees Overwhelming Demand in Extended Series C Round at Record Valuation – Moonfare, the leading global digital private equity investment platform, has capped the extension of its Series C financing round at c.a. $15 million, achieving a record valuation. This brings the total capital raised in the Series C funding round to over $130 million.

Following Insight Partners’ investment in November 2021, Vitruvian Partners and Swiss private bank Bordier & Cie became Moonfare shareholders in March 2022. Avicenna.AI lands Series A funding – Medical imaging AI specialist Avicenna.AI today announced it has secured a Series A funding round, bringing aggregated investment in the company close to $10 million. The round was backed by existing investors Innovacom and CEMAG Invest.

The new funds will be used to scale up deployment of Avicenna.AI’s solutions across the world and to diversify the company’s offering into new areas of medicine.

Singapore-based fintech Tazapay raises US$16.9 million in Series A fundraising round, led by Sequoia Capital Southeast Asia – Tazapay, a leading fintech company specialising in cross-border payments, announced today that it has raised USD 16.9 million in its Series A funding round. Sequoia Capital Southeast Asia led the round, with EscapeVelocity (escp.vc), PayPal Alumni Fund as well as renowned angel investor Gokul Rajaram joining as new investors. Existing investors Foundamental, January Capital, RTP Global and Saison Capital also participated in this round.

The Rounds Closes $6.7M Series A FundingThe Rounds, a Halifax, Canada-based healthcare tech startup, raised two follow-on investments totaling CAD $1.6M bringing the Series A to CAD $6.7M.

The round was led by Panoramic Ventures, and Invest Nova Scotia.

The company intends to use the funds to continue the development of the platform and provide users with a secure, seamless, and intuitive experience. 

Evonetix Raises $24M in Extended Series B Funding Round – Synthetic biology company Evonetix said on Tuesday that it has completed a $24 million funding round, extending its total Series B funding to over $54 million.

This round was led by existing investor Foresite Capital, with Molten Ventures, Morningside, DCVC, Cambridge Consultants, Civilization Ventures, and Providence also participating and follows Evonetix’s £23million ($27.5 million) Series B funding in 2020.

The Ugly Company secures $9m in Series A funding round – The Ugly Company, a US-based producer of upcycled dried fruit snacks, has raised $9 million in a Series A funding round.

The round was led by Sun Valley Packing, a fruit grower and distributor, and Value Creation Strategies, with participation from singer Justin Timberlake and investment firm Valley Ag Capital Holdings (VACH).

The funds will be used to expand processing capacity and accelerate US expansion.

The Ugly Company offers a variety of dried fruit snacks, such as cherries, peaches, white nectarines, apricots and kiwis.

Streaming TV Platform Atmosphere Raises Series D Round at a $1 Billion Valuation – Atmosphere (www.atmosphere.tv), the worldwide leader in streaming TV entertainment for businesses, today announced a new $65M Series D funding round, led by Sageview Capital, Valor Equity Partners and S3 Ventures. This newest round of funding follows an $80 million Series C financing led by Sageview Capital completed in December 2021.

Conquest Planning Secures $17.8M in Series A Funding – Software developer Conquest Planning has announced it closed its 24 million Canadian dollar ($17.8 million) Series A round led by Fidelity International Strategic Ventures. The round was also joined by existing capital partners Portage Ventures as well as new investors BNY Mellon and RBC.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba-based firm is led by CEO Mark Evans, one of the original developers of the venerable NaviPlan cash flow-based financial planning application.

Alternative investment startup Darksquare preps for beta with £260k round – The round received commitments from 17 angel investors, as well as a Seedrs crowdfunding campaign, according to a report from BusinessCloud.

This capital will help Darksquare move ahead with its beta launch, which is set for mid-Q1.

In the beta, the alternative investment startup will select two or three investment products that have target yields around 12% annum. The asset classes will include distressed/special situations credit, forestry, renewable energy and/or real estate.
