Vannevar Labs Announces $75M Series B Funding Round – Vannevar Labs, which provides state-of -the-art technology to overcome critical national security problems, today announced a $75M Series B. The investment was led by Felicis with new investors DFJ Growth and Aloft VC and existing General Catalyst, Point72 Ventures, Costanoa Ventures, and Shield Capital. This brings Vannevar’s total funding to over $90M raised. The company plans to use new capital to fund development of new products and win the company’s first multi-year program from Decrypt.

EarthOptics Secures $27.6 Million Series B Funding – EarthOptics, a leader in soil measurement and insights, today announced a round of strategic investments from both existing and new investors.

The $27.6 million round of funding, led by Conti Ventures, will further build out EarthOptics’ GroundOwl™ sensor suite capabilities, accelerate acreage growth and scale service providers. This increase in funding for product and service offerings to farmers and ranchers works to meet growing customer demand.

Insurtech Joyn Insurance gets $17.7m in Series A funding round – Insurtech company Joyn Insurance has announced it exceeded its target with a $17.7 million Series A funding round led by OMERS Ventures, with participation from SiriusPoint, ManchesterStory, Cohen Circle, Avanta Ventures and several other private investors.

Joyn launched in July of 2021, announcing a key partnership and investment agreement with the aforementioned specialty re/insurer SiriusPoint, as it laid out plans to transform small and mid-market US commercial insurance using digital technology, data analytics, and automation.

Forum Mobility Raises $15M in Series A FundingForum Mobility, an Oakland, CA-based zero-emission trucking solutions provider, closed a $15m Series A funding round.

The round and a new $400m joint venture, were both led by a fund sponsored by CBRE Investment Management. Homecoming Capital also participated in the Series A funding round and provided $100m to the joint venture. Existing seed investors all participated in the Series A, including Obvious Ventures, Edison International, Overture, and Homecoming Capital. Fintech Anyfin raises €30 million Series C funding to further accelerate expansion across EuropeAnyfin, the scaleup that enables consumers to refinance existing loans and take control of their financial wellbeing, today announces that it has completed a €30 million Series C funding round. The capital will fuel the growth of its business across Europe, as well as helping Anyfin to strengthen its product suite in existing Europe markets.

South Africa’s Flow gets funding to automate social media advertising for real estate agencies – The process used by millions of agents and thousands of property portals globally to reach buyers and sellers on digital channels is highly fragmented. And it’s evident that proptech, unlike other industries, has lagged in utilizing social media to make sales.

South African startup Flow wants to change how real estate agencies,  developers and agents interact with their end customers. With its APIs, Flow connects to the websites of estate agencies and property developers and automates advertising for them on social media channels like Instagram and Facebook. The proptech marketing platform is announcing that it has raised $4.5 million in pre-Series A funding.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Forum Mobility on $15 Million Series A and $400 Million Joint Venture – On January 17, 2023, Forum Mobility, a zero-emission trucking solutions provider, announced the close of a $15 million Series A funding round and a new $400 million joint venture, both led by a fund sponsored by CBRE Investment Management, to provide comprehensive, zero-emission charging and vehicle solutions to drayage truck fleets and drivers. Homecoming Capital also participated in the Series A funding round and provided $100 million to the joint venture. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Forum Mobility on the transactions.

Podeum raises $1M in pre-seed round led by Titan Capital, Bharat Founders Fund and other angel investors – Podeum, a sports creators-fan engagement platform, has closed the pre-seed round of $1 million from a host of investors, including Titan Capital, RTP Global, Point One Capital, Bharat Founders Fund, along with prominent angel investors like Sujeet Kumar (Co-founder, udaan), Ganesh Krishnan and Srini (Co-founder, Growthstory), Harsh (Fynd), among few others. The newly raised funding shall be utilised to further grow the sports creator ecosystem and invest in products to grow fan offerings.

Sustainable investment startup Grünfin scores €2m – The capital injection was led by existing investors Norrsken VC, Specialist VC and Lemonade Stand, according to a report from AIN Capital. Participation also came from other unnamed angel investors. Sie Ventures and HoneyBadger VC also deployed funds.

The equity will enable the FinTech sustainable investment platform to grow its product suite with a new investment plan that helps employers keep their talent by offering sustainable financial independence to employees.
