Aquaconnect raises $15 million in Series A funding round – Full-stack aquaculture platform Aquaconnect has raised $15 million (Rs 120 crore) in a Series A funding round, led by Lok Capital, with participation from Louis Dreyfus Company Ventures, Suneight Investment along with existing investors including Omnivore, Rebright Partners, Flourish Ventures, HATCH and other debt investors.
Update: BetterPlace raises $40 Mn in extended Series C round – Update: BetterPlace on Tuesday announced that it has raised $40 million as part of Series C+ fundraise. The fresh infusion of funds sees participation from new and existing investors including Jungle Ventures and British International Investment. The company has now raised $64 million in total in Series C financing.
Robco Raises $13.8M in Series A Funding – Robco, a Munich, Germany-based company that builds modular robots to automate processes, raised $13.8M in in Series A funding.
The round was led by Sequoia, with participation from Kindred Capital, Promus Ventures, Torsten Reil, Christian Reber and Daniel Dines.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the module capabilities, adding more clients and expanding its geographical reach into the U.S.
Xpedeon Raises Series A Funding from Norwest Venture Partners – Xpedeon, a vertical cloud-based software platform (SaaS) for the Engineering and Construction industry announced that it has closed a funding round from Norwest Venture Partners. The funding will accelerate Xpedeon’s future growth and solidify the company’s position as a leading unified construction software company. The company has generated significant traction across the UK, Middle East and India and plans to expand to North America, Europe and Asia-pacific with the new funding round. Part of the investment will also be utilized to further enhance and integrate Building Information Modelling (BIM) and AI/ML within its core technology stack.
Autonomous driving startup Helm.ai raises $31M in a Series C funding –
Helm.ai Inc. announced today that it has closed a $31 million round of funding for the development of a software platform for self-driving vehicles.
Freeman Group led the Series C round. A number of publicly traded auto parts makers participated as well, including Honda Motor Co., ACVC Partners, and Amplo Ltd. To date, Helm.ai has raised $78 million from investors.
HRtech SaaS platform BetterPlace raises $40 million in extended series C round –
BetterPlace Global, a SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform for frontline workforce management, said it has raised $40 million in an extended Series C round, adding Macquarie Capital and SITE Capital Partners to its cap table.
BetterPlace’s existing investors Jungle Ventures and British International Investment also participated in the round, which seems rather sizable at a time when the startup ecosystem is struggling with a funding winter that has led to an acute fall in late-stage deals.
