HEMANEXT ANNOUNCES CLOSE OF SERIES B EQUITY FUNDING ROUND – Hemanext Inc., a leading innovator in blood processing, storage, and transfusion technology, today announced the successful first close of its Series B fundraising round. Taken together with the exercise of outstanding warrants, this close brings an additional $18 million of equity capital from noted global private investors with deep finance and healthcare expertise. To date, the company has raised approximately $130mm (inclusive of $8mm in grant funding from the National Institutes of Health).
Grooming brand Sanfe raises $1.5 Mn in Series A2 funding – Women’s grooming brand Sanfe has secured another round of funding of $1.5 million led by existing investors like S. Chand Family office, Seeders, Lets Venture, and angel investors including Abhay Tandon and Yash Kotak.
Sanfe had earlier raised $1 million in a series A funding round which makes the total funding $2.5 million.

Smartex raises US$24.7M in Series A funding – Technology company Smartex has raised US$24.7 million in a Series A funding round to develop its software which aims to reduce environmental impact by detecting textile defects in real-time.
The Portuguese company says its automated identification process reduces textile waste, CO2 emissions, energy, water, time and money by automatically shutting down production to prevent waste.
Lightspeed Venture Partners and Tony Fadell’s Build Collective led the oversubscribed funding round which was also supported by H&M Group and Fashion for Good.
PhotoRoom Raises $19M in Series A Funding – PhotoRoom, a Paris, France-based global photo editing platform, raised $19m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Balderton Capital with participation from angels from Facebook, Hugging Face and Disney+, as well as Adjacent.
The company intends to use the funds to develop its existing software further, improve generative AI features and keep hiring talent across Europe.
Roslin Tech closes £11m Series A funding round – Scottish food and ag-tech company, Roslin Tech, has closed its Series A funding round led by Novo Holdings.
The company secured £11 million during the raise, which will be used to accelerate the company’s growth and its mission to become a leading provider of animal cell lines in the fast-paced cultivated meat sector.
Roslin Tech has developed pluripotent animal stem cells that have the ability to “self-renew indefinitely and differentiate into desired end-tissues for meat”. The company currently has customers in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Accessories membership club Vivrelle raises $35M in Series B – Vivrelle, which describes itself as a membership club with access to a shared closet of designer accessories, is scaling up its company as the market for resale is predicted to rise. According to a May report from ThredUp, the U.S. market for secondhand goods could reach $82 billion by 2026. The report also predicted that the secondhand market would increase by 24% this year.
